Dr Nicolas Dauphin studied at l’Université Libre de Bruxelles. He was trained in Brussels, Luxembourg, Bordeaux and Indianapolis. He worked during his six-year fellowship under the responsibility of Dr Nicolas Calteux and Professor Albert De Mey. During his training, he acquired his knowledge in the whole field of plastic surgery, including reconstructive surgery, maxilla-facial trauma surgery, microsurgery and surgery of the hand.
Further fellowships in the department of Professor Jacques Baudet in Bordeaux and in the Indiana Hand Center with Dr JB Steichen allowed him to improve his skills in reconstructive microsurgery and surgery of the hand.
A three-year training in handsurgery and peripheral nerve surgery allowed Dr Dauphin to be a certified surgeon of the hand. He worked during 9 years at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg with Dr Nicolas Calteux as a plastic surgeon and hand surgeon. In collaboration with the team of Professor Michel Merle of the “Centre Européen de Chirurgie de la Main”, he participated in the SOS-main Luxembourg to take care of injured hands, including replantation surgery.
He is currently working since July 1st 2011 at the “Centre Chirurgical et Orthopédique” and performs his surgical interventions at the « Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrisch” of Esch-sur-Alzette. He is a certified plastic surgeon, surgeon of the hand and microsurgeon. He is attending regularly international scientific meetings to offer you an up-to-date medical and surgical treatment.
